About the Presenter: Diane White

Diane White
President & CEO
Diane White Public Relations & Events

Diane White is President and CEO of Diane White Public Relations & Events which she opened in July 2012. The former award-winning TV reporter and anchor spent 15 years working in television news before moving into the public relations field. Her experience and knowledge of newsrooms is a valuable asset in running her company.

She says she approaches a new client like she approached a story – getting all of the information she can about a client – their goals, dreams, what they want out of their business and their life. She then looks for the compelling angles that will help set them apart with their customers, their partners and the media.

Diane earned two bachelor’s degrees – one in Broadcast Journalism and another in Political Science, at the University of Missouri-Columbia.

Her work garnered several awards in Colorado and Oklahoma, including her part in an Emmy-award winning newscast for coverage of the May 3, 1999 tornadoes. In 2006 she was named best reporter in Oklahoma by the Society of Professional Journalists. Later that year Diane left TV reporting and started her public relations career, opening her own company four years later.

Diane also worked for a year and a half in marketing for Marriott Corporation’s Senior Living Division and was named to the President’s Golden Circle - awarded to less than 10 percent of sales associates nationwide - for exceeding all sales goals in 2002.

Her proudest moments have been when she garnered a win for a client or an organization. Some of her national placements include the CNBC Show “The Big Idea” with Donny Deutsch, Good Morning America, Fox and Friends, Fox News, CNN and Entrepreneur Magazine

Diane is married to David who is also a successful entrepreneur providing merchant services and payment solutions to hundreds of businesses nationwide. The two partner in both business and in their community involvement. They have a 10 year-old daughter Jameson. Her stepdaughter Bailey and her husband Mitch are both students at University of Tulsa and have a three year-old son, Noah. Diane enjoys running, skiing and Pilates. She loves spending time with family, hanging out with her girlfriends in her Brookside neighborhood and enjoys reading good mysteries.
