Designed to give NEOK another learning opportunity outside of regular chapter meetings, field trips are free of charge to members.
Members and guests, please register so we can plan accordingly. 

Come join us for a tour of PSO’s Line Mechanic training facility in Sand Springs, OK on May 21st, 2012.  Our host, Tracy Weldon, will show us where current and future line mechanics learn how to climb poles, work on and fix wires and transformers, and the latest in safety procedures.  Tracy will talk about PSO’s multi-year program where they take new apprentices and turn them into journeyman line mechanics.

The tour starts at 5:30 and will last approximately one hour.  We will meet at their training facility at 1308 Charles Page Blvd in Sand Springs.  

To get there go west on I-244/412 West and take the 81st W Ave exit.  Turn left onto 81st W Ave then turn right onto Charles Page Blvd.  The PSO building is brown brick and will have a bunch of poles sticking up in the back.  There is a small sign that says AEP out by the street.  

Park in the west parking lot if possible, but there is also parking on the east side of the building.  Go into the doors on the west side of the building.

The cost is free to NEOK ASTD members and $10.00 for non-members.  Tour availability is limited, so please sign up so we can get an accurate number for Tracy.  Tracy said he’ll have cookies and soft drinks available.
