Cherokee Nation Businesses Employee and Leadership Development Leadership Team

Cost: $30 Guests, $20 Members, $10 Program only

In today’s economy, we are forced to do more with less.  We will share our model of developing employees and leaders in a diverse workforce and business structure through Shared Services, including Human Resources and Training and Development. 

We will share some strategies and best practices in the fields of:
a.       Operational Training and Development
b.      Leadership Development and Talent Management
c.       Education Services
d.      Continuing Education

Leveraging these strategies through a successful community of practice that bridges government and business operations.


More about the presenters:

Chris Paxton

Chrisanna (Chris) Paxton-McMillin has been with Cherokee Nation Businesses and Cherokee Nation Entertainment for 4 ½ years and is currently the Manager of Education Services. Her responsibilities include administering PeopleSoft LMS, creating online training, managing facilities & inventory, and chairing several Communities of Practice. Chris has a Master’s of Science in Adult & Occupational Education from OSU and more than 18 years of experience in classroom facilitation and more than 11 years’ experience in online facilitation and instructional design. Chris is currently a part-time instructor at Tulsa Community College.

Doyle Paden

Doyle Paden has served Cherokee Nation Businesses and Cherokee Nation Entertainment for 8 ½ years working in leadership development and education.  He currently serves as Director, Employee Leadership Development Continuing Education.   His job functions include administering the CNB Education Reimbursement program; CNB special projects for Change Management, Employee Development for CNB business entities, Employment Law, Ethics & You, coordinating Basic Computer Skills, Food & Beverage Talent Pipeline development.  Doyle is a citizen of the Cherokee Nation.

Kelly Ferguson
Kelly Ferguson has served Cherokee Nation Businesses and Cherokee Nation Entertainment for 4 years working in leadership development and education.  She currently serves as Manager, Operations Support for CNB.  Her job functions include managing the facilitation of New Employee Orientations for all CNB entities; managing the process of a complete on-boarding experience for all CNB employees; managing facilitators who can deliver employee development instruction to all CNB employees; CNB special projects which include employee development, employment law and operations support for CNB entities and with future CNB purchased companies.   Kelly is a citizen of the Cherokee Nation.

Skip Eller

Skip Eller is the Manager of Leadership Development for Cherokee Nation Businesses.  His responsibilities include leadership development, talent management, and succession planning for each of the CNB business entities.  Skip came to Cherokee Nation Businesses and Cherokee Nation Entertainment just over three years ago with 15 years’ training and leadership experience in the call center industry both in Tulsa and Springfield, MO.  He is a Certified Franklin Covey Facilitator and recently completed the Hogan Assessments Feedback Certification.  He begins work on a Master of Arts in Organizational Development this summer at the University of Oklahoma Tulsa.  Skip is a citizen of the Cherokee Nation.
